Our story

Sky Dreams LLC took flight as an online retailer in July 2009. After 30 years in the banking industry, Angie Higa decided to retire to become a full time Grandma during her daughters military deployment to Afghanistan.  Within six months of retiring, Angie rekindled her passion for sewing and began creating fashionable travel blankets and accessories. 

Her initial goal was to create fashionable, must-have travel blankets and pillows when airlines stopped providing these comfort items inflight. Angie's unique design aesthetic enabled her to expand her line of travel blankets to travel accessories, shopping totes and purses. Her products were featured in several local magazines and newspaper articles.  She was featured as a local designer in theHawaiian Airlines Duty Free International Catalog for 2 years sellingan exclusive travel tote.

January 2016, she launched the "Aloha Collection by Sky Dreams LLC."  A collection of island and beach inspired tote bags, clutches and accessories.  Each design captures the beauty of the islands and allows her customers to share the "Aloha Spirit" in each design she creates from her atelier in Mililani, Hawai'i.

March 22, 2020 the Sky Dreams Giving back project was started. Angie shifted her focus and began sewing and giving away FREE face mask during the pandemic and used her own inventory of fabric and supplies to meet that need. Since the sewing community was sewing face mask for Health professionals and First Responders, Angie focused her efforts on the community with a focus on essential workers, those with compromised immune systems and our Kupuna (elderly).  As of December 29, 2020, over 2,700 FREE face mask were given out.

Angie designs with the belief that no matter how you travel, travel the fashionable way and with Aloha spirit.
