Sky Dreams LLC was founded in July 2009 by Angie Higa, an avid seamstress who loves to travel.

After 30 years in the banking industry, Angie decided to retire in 2008 as Vice President and Commercial Branch Manager to care for her granddaughter while her eldest daughter was deployed to Afghanistan.

From Banker to stay home grandmother, Angie found the time to do what she always loved, and that was sewing. She dusted off her sewing machine and finally was able to create an idea that she thought of in 2006 but didn’t have the time to sew it. This idea came to her after catching a bad cold after a 9 hour flight because there were no blankets on board the aircraft. Angie wanted to create a unique travel blanket. After many attempts to come up with the right design, she found a blanket that her mother made 25 years ago and instantly knew that by redesigning it, it would be a “must have” for any traveler. And in May, 2009 the Sky Dreams travel blanket and matching comfort pillow was created.

With most airlines now charging for pillows and blankets, it’s comforting to know you can travel in “First class comfort” with your own personal travel blanket and matching comfort neck pillow. A preferred travel accessory because of it’s unique design. It’s a blanket that conveniently folds into a bag! And August 2010, Angie created two new bag designs. The “Randy” which folds into a duffel bag and the “Kaianna” which folds into a backpack, perfect for our little travelers.
